I love this book. So many people need to hear that it's okay to love a difficult pet. It's okay to try your best to show them that not all situations and people are scary and dangerous; to give them a safe space, make compromises, and try to find the humor in everyday shenanigans our pets put us through. Jeccika Shepherd's book helped us with our hard-to-love dog, and we're so glad we put in the time and work to give her a good life. Our "Otis" isn't perfect, but she loves us like crazy, and we're all a work in progress, right?
